I love living in Deansgate ward, but I see and personally experience the issues that matter to everyone that lives in our community. I believe we should support all those that need help especially the homeless; create sustainable communities that are clean, safe and family friendly; encourage local and national Government investment; and build on the heritage, history and political values the City of Manchester has always championed.
I have worked in project management roles in large and small business and for both the public and private sector, largely in hospitality. That means I understand the practical issues of getting things done and how to talk to the right people.
We all know the City Centre has and is changing fast. I believe we need to address the feeling in the community that we are being “done too” instead of being “done with”. More effective consultation on issues such as planning and service provision is needed.
