A note from Marcus, your Labour Co-op Council candidate

Dear neighbour,

I’m Marcus, your Labour & Co-operative candidate in the 2nd May election. Re-elect me to keep working for a greener, fairer city centre.

I live in Castlefield with my partner and young son. Raising my family here, I’m dedicated to building a greener, fairer city centre. I know what’s special about city centre life and its challenges. I‘ve had the honour to be your councillor since 2018 as part of Labour’s team with Mayor Andy Burnham, Lucy Powell MP, and my colleagues Joan and Anthony.

We’re your community champions, making our city centre a great place to live every stage of your life. We’re making strong progress.

Since you elected me, I’ve worked for you, like campaigning for climate action, standing up for LGBT+ rights, chairing the Council’s economy committee, and securingmore green space, a new doctor’s and a school.

Being your councillor is more than just my work in the Town Hall—it means working in our community with residents directly too. For six years, I’ve helped many residents, fixing problems and improving our city together.

I’m standing on my record working for city centre residents, so I can keep working by your side for a brighter future, every day.

You have two votes on May 2nd. Vote for a brighter future by voting for Marcus Johns and Andy Burnham.
